Blackbird in my garden ; Merle dans mon jardin

A very expressive and dubious little male blackbird... Like me ... I needed a break this week after having an argument with a parent. People are aggressive and don't admit that they can be wrong. It was a colleague who came to intervene so that I could bring my class into the college. Wednesday I was sewing all day ... an activity that really clears my head and yesterday I had some class tips. But, the weekend is here and here I am again. Chaffinch ; Pinson des arbres

Happily, this Chaffinch was singing . I could find him in branches and leaves following the sound of his "voice". I erased a big branch which was in the right high corner , but I let the branch up the chaffinch because it's not a good job. If I arrive to make it well , I will replace the picture , but in another way, it's show how he was hidden in tree ! Heureusement, ce pinson des arbres chantait. J'ai pu le trouver en suivant le son de sa "voix" J'ai effacé une grosse branche dans le coin de droite , en haut mais je n'ai pas effacé la branche au-dessus du pinson car le rendu n'était pas beau. i j'y arrive, je remplacerai la photo; mais d'un autre coté, cela montre combien ce pinson était bien caché dans l'arbre.

These two sparrows are pecking at the lichen on my frozen roof. I always wonder how they manage to resist such cold! Ces deux moineaux picorent le lichen sur ma toiture gelée . Je me demande toujours comment ils font pour résister à un tel froid !

However the picture is a quite blur , it's the one I prefer : I like it because we can see well speed motion . Même si cette photo est un peu floue , c'est celle que je préfère : je l'aime bien car on a bien la notion de vitesse .

After take off she turns me around , I keep shooting and managed to have his eye. I made the choice to keep the electric lines which allowed the bird to be located close to the houses. Je l'ai bien vue décoller ... mais avec les branches mon suivi 3D a eu du mal à fixer le collimateur dessus . Résultat , je l'ai en vol juste après mais je n'ai pas la position avec les pattes qui donne l'impulsion. Nous pouvons juste voir que les pattes ne sont pas encore complètement en place pour le vol Merci pour le nom anglais hier. En français , j'ai bien écrit "buse" mais Google traduction m'a indiqué "hawk". Je ne connais pas vraiment le nom en anglais . J'ai souvent ce problème et j'apprécie vraiment quand vous me dite que ma traduction est fausse. Merci aussi pour les conseils : j'ai changé la photo d'hier et il y a plus de lumière maintenant . Observation post ; Poste d'observation

When I got home last night, I spotted this hawk that was perched at the other end of the field. I crossed in the open, taking pictures regularly as I approached. The objective was to also have its takeoff. She was not shy because I was able to approach relatively close. En rentrant hier soir , j'ai repéré cette buse qui était perchée à l'autre bout du champ . J'ai traversé à découvert , en prenant des clichés régulièrement au fur et à mesure que j'approchais . L'objectif était d'avoir aussi son décollage . Elle n'était pas farouche car j'ai pu approcher relativement près.

Sparrow and Blue Tit on the feeder . Where should I be focusing so that the sparrow is as sharp as the tit? I can't understand the concept of hyperfocal. There I made the focus on the tit. I also did some tests with the focus on the feeder but it's not really more conclusive. I am only at f7.1 because I am already at 1600 isos and my speed is low. If I go to f8 I'm afraid there is too much blur due to the incessant movement of the birds. The tit is always moving its head to watch the surroundings Moineau et mésange sur la mangeoire. J'ai aussi fait des essais avec le focus sur la mangeoire mais ce n'est pas vraiment plus concluant . Je ne suis qu'à f7,1 car je suis déjà à 1600 isos et ma vitesse est basse. Si je passe à f8 , je crains qu'il n'y ait trop de flou dû au mouvement incessant des oiseaux . La mésange est toujours en train de bouger la tête pour surveiller les environs

On the feeder; Sur la mangeoire

I have installed the feeder on Wednesday . This morning I had time to take few pictures through the window ( I have cleaned them ^^) . After this series, I have cut 3 branches we see in background . Next shooting should be better. This female sparrow seems to appreciate seeds ... J'ai installé la mangeoire mercredi. Ce matin, j'ai eu le temps de prendre quelques photos à travers la fenêtre ( je les ai nettoyées ^^). Après cette série, j'ai coupé 3 branches que l'on voit en arrière-plan. Les prochaines prises de vue devrait être meilleure. Ce moineau femelle semble apprécier les graines ...

In facts , there is a difficulty between french and english : in english it's called Eurasian Collared Dove but in french it's called Tourterelle turque. The scientific name is Streptopelia decaocto Ces 2 tourterelles turques m’avaient offert un beau spectacle sur l’art de séduire au monde des oiseaux . Je posterai au fur et à mesure ces moments si attendrissants. Il y a une incohérence entre le nom français et le nom anglais . Son nom scientifique est Streptopelia decaocto

Female kestrel take off; Decollage d'un faucon crécerelle femelle.

The Kestrel is a small, red-mantled falcon found in the open environments of the Old World. It is a slender bird with a fine body and long narrow wings and long tail. The adult female is generally more uniform. It lacks the characteristic gray color of the male. Only the tails of older females can turn gray. The upperparts are rufous-buff, bill to tail, and more profusely spotted. The flight feathers are less dark. C'est un oiseau svelte au corps fin et à longues ailes étroites et longue queue La femelle adulte est globalement plus uniforme. Elle est dépourvue de la couleur grise caractéristique du mâle. Seule la queue des femelles âgées peut grisonner. Les parties supérieures sont chamois-roux, du bec à la queue, et plus abondamment tachetées. Les rémiges sont moins sombres. La barre sombre sous l'œil est moins marquée mais les couvertures auriculaires plus pâles la mettent quand même bien en évidence. La queue est nettement barrée de brun sur toute sa longueur, avec une barre terminale plus importante. Comme vous l’aviez remarqué lors de la 1ère photo partagée, j’étais très proche de lui… résultat, au décollage, je me fais avoir et je ne l’ai pas en entier… 1er essai avec le logiciel On1 raw 2021

And even more by developing this one for you this afternoon! Yesterday was a difficult day but it did me good to find my students. And today, a new simple happiness ... observe, admire and capture nature ... Cela faisait longtemps que je souhaitais le photographier car son poste d’observation est sur ma route pour aller au travail. Maintes fois je l’ai vu alors que je n’avais pas l’appareil photo ou quand je n’avais pas le temps de m’arrêter car ma pause déjeuner est trop courte . Maintes fois je suis repartie avec l’appareil et il était parti … Maintes fois , j’avais prévu l’appareil dans la voiture et il n’était pas là … Ce matin , j’ai hésité car il faisait froid et je craignais de laisser l’appareil 4h dans la voiture sans protection. Pourtant , ma pause déjeuner était plus longue aujourd’hui… J’ai emballé mon matériel dans un gilet en laine et dans un sweet ( il ne rentre pas monté dans mon sac photo ) Et comme j’étais heureuse sur le chemin du retour de le découvrir sur son poteau ! Et encore plus en développant celle-ci pour vous ce midi ! Hier fut une journée difficile mais cela m’a fait du bien de retrouver mes élèves . Et aujourd’hui , un nouveau petit bonheur simple … observer, admirer et capturer la nature …

European Greenfinch ; Verdier d'Europe ; Chloris chloris

The European Greenfinch (Chloris chloris, formerly Carduelis chloris) is a small species of partially migrating passerine, very widespread, of the finch family. He is stocky about the size of the House Sparrow. Its body is compact, effect accentuated by the rather short tail and the large conical beak. The adult male appears overall yellow-olive-green. What allows you to recognize it immediately, in touchdown as in flight, is the bright yellow of the wings and tail. Sur les ailes, ce jaune se trouve sur les vexilles externes des rémiges primaires, sur l'alula (Ensemble de petites plumes fixées sur le pouce au bout du membre antérieur qui permettent de stabiliser le vol) et au niveau du poignet. Cela se traduit sur l'aile fermée par un trait jaune longitudinal très visible. Sur la queue, le jaune occupe la base des rectrices, excepté les centrales qui sont noirâtres. Il chante souvent perché sur un arbre ou pendant son vol. Sa voix est sonore et rapide. C’est grâce à elle que je l’ai repéré.
